Ogun State Governor addresses the attack on Police Stations as a result of the End SARS Campaign

The End SARS Campaign has undoubted caused a nation wide cry for help and as more youths troop out to air their voice, celebrities also join on this cause as it’s gradually becoming a global reach with international new agencies, Hollywood celebrities and foreign governments lending their voice to the call for an end to the ill manner operations of the SARS Unit of the Nigerian Police.

In Ogun State an uproar ensued as a result of this leading to reported attacks on a couple of police stations in Ijebu Ode which went viral on social media platforms.

Addressing on the attacks, Dr Dapo Abiodun, Governor of Ogun State had this to say via his Instagram account , ‘Following reports of attacks on a couple of Police stations in Ijebu Ode by some people and unrest in Sango this morning over alleged brutalities by the Nigeria Police, especially the F-SARS arm of the organisation, I appeal to the good people of Ogun State, particularly the protesters, not to resort to destruction of and attack on Police stations and property in a bid to express their anger over the activities of the Anti-Robbery Squad.

The Ogun State Government will always seek the betterment, safety and peace of our general good, but this may only be done by the support of our people.’
